"For us to enjoy the peace, wellness and integrity of life-in-balance, our mission while riding the train of our dysfunctional society must include learning how to change the direction of the train track in a good way. This is different than success or wellness being "to get a better seat on the train." It can be as simple as occasionally getting off the train and benefiting from, while supporting, more organic trains and tracks."

- Michael J. Cohen

Nature: do you forget to remember it?

Researchers have demonstrated that by simply forgetting nature we cause many of our personal and global troubles.

Although we are part of nature, the "vital force," we exclude nature from our thinking over 99% of the time, including our dream time.

This means that normally our mentality, spirit and destiny are deprived of nature's extraordinary ability to build and sustain diverse relationships without producing garbage or undue abusiveness. This ability is a core of nature. It is an organic form of "unconditional love" that we desperately need in our lives. As part of nature we inherit this core but our education and socialization teach us to fear, disrespect and ignore it. Many troubles result.

If you are normal, doesn't the frenzy of your daily existence cause your thinking, moment by moment, to overlook your relationship with nature or take that relationship for granted? For example: how often do you remember that nature has restorative powers that rejuvenate and renew every member of the global community including you and your psyche? How often do you consciously seek the help of these powers in nature? Do your remember that when the land or your skin get scraped, nature restores them; that when you get sick nature helps you recover, that nature constantly heals and purifies itself, that it creates and sustains unpolluted relationships?

The stress-filled, abusive state of the world produced by the mentality of contemporary thinking shows that our genius has become dysfunctional. Why doesn't nature heal our dysfunction like it heals most forms of life? Isn't it because we live extremely nature-separated lives? Over ninety-nine percent of our thinking is not in tune with nature; over 95% of our time is spent indoors. These extremes bond, addict or brainwash our mentality to obtain nature's love from substitutes for it that we invent, substitutes that produce detrimental side-effects like pollution, stress, disease and habitat destruction.

Even when we visit a natural area, our mind is conditioned to be elsewhere, not truly connected to the area. Our mentality has learned to spend its time in nature remembering incidents, solving problems, quelling fears or placing artificial labels on nature's nameless ways.

How can nature begin to help our psyche and spirit pull things together when we so fully separate ourselves from its ability to do so?

A maverick genius has responded to this important question. Working in natural areas for over forty years throughout the seasons, he and his associates have invented a readily available sensory tool. It is a scientific, accredited, love-of-nature psychology that enables us to genuinely reconnect our thinking with the renewing powers and beauty of natural systems within and around you. This helps us reap many rewards including stress reduction, increased wellness along with heightened sensitivity, critical thinking and energy. The documented results of using this tool speak for themselves.

You can easily learn to use this nature-connecting tool; you can even get a training certificate or degree in it that will strengthen your livelihood, credibility and contribution to society and the environment.

The book review/press release, below, about this organic, nature-connected thinking process helps you follow nature's path to self and environmental improvement. We invite you to share it with those who care.

A Unifying Environmental Breakthrough: Nature-Connected Psychology, Education and Alternative Medicine.

SYNOPSIS:
Contemporary people, like all of humanity, are born as part of nature but, to our loss, we live in denial of this legacy. In powerless apathy we deny that we live extremely nature-separated lives. We deny that over 99% of our thinking is stressed and frustrated by our indoor-living disconnection of our psyche from its nurturing, renewing origins in nature's balance and beauty. We deny that in the name of progress, economics and normalcy we embrace and psychologically bond to rewards from non-organic substitutes for nature, substitutes with attributes that injure us, others and the environment.

Our disconnection from nature's rewards and restorative powers causes us to want. When we want there is never enough so we satisfy and condition ourselves thoughtlessly. For this reason our stubborn personal, social and environmental troubles result.

To resolve our breach with nature and promote human and environmental health, Dr. Michael Cohen's new Organic Psychology book, The Web of Life Imperative, empowers us with simple, nature-reconnecting, learning tools that help us transform our destructive bonds into constructive relationships. Backyard or backcountry, they enable us to rejuvenate personal and environmental wellness through thoughtful sensory contact with nature's healing properties and energy.

In The Web of Life Imperative: regenerative Ecopsychology techniques that help people think in balance with natural systems (Trafford Publications), environmental psychologist Dr. Michael J. Cohen and 36 expert co-authors teach individuals, organizations and disciplines how to benefit from a simple, nature-connected learning process.

This self-help book contains an easily doable, accredited course in the therapeutic science of Organic Psychology. It gives us responsible, loving, relationship-strengthening tools that, backyard or backcountry, enable our psyche to benefit by thoughtfully tapping into recuperative natural system energies within and around us. Participants help themselves improve their lives through nature's unadulterated information, wellness forces and behavior-modifying powers.

As does Nature, Dr. Cohen's process promotes peace by unifying opposites. He has developed and tested it for nine years in conjunction with many award winning authors, educators, and peace leaders ---including the N.Y. Times best selling nature and healing writer Susan Chernak McElroy. His compelling book enables us, as part of nature, to wisely reconnect our injured senses with their purifying and rejuvenating origins and energies in nature. His certification and degree program students spearhead an organic psychology revolution that brings nature-connected thinking into daily relationships.

Cohen, Director of the Institute of Global Education -a special consultant NGO to the United Nations, says, "Conscious, contact with tangible 'higher power' attraction energies in nature helps us rewardingly transform our resistant habit and addiction bonds into healthier ways of relating, personally and environmentally. We enable ourselves to increase our resilience, realize our deeper hopes and mass-produce an urgently needed global consciousness."
